Two of 7 Generation Games founders – our CEO AnnMaria De Mars and our CMO Maria Burns Ortiz – have have spent the last two days in Dallas at the Online Learning Consortium’s International Symposium on Emerging Technologies. It’s been a great experience as 7 Generation Games was one of nine startups that were selected as part of the event’s Launch Pad program.
EOC described the Launch Pad companies as “a small group of educational technology startups that have invented solutions to problems faced by today’s online educators” and that are providing “a glimpse of what tomorrow’s online leaning spaces will look like.”
For us, it’s been an incredible opportunity for us to connect with educators, network with other companies and to promote our games.
As a Launch Pad company, we had a chance to exhibit among a bunch of outstanding companies working in the online learning and ed tech spaces – from other Launch Pad startups to hugely successful international companies. We were also recognized on-stage during the event’s awards lunch.
To be selected as a rising company by as prestigious an organization as OLC (previously the Sloan Consortium) is an honor for us at 7 Generation Games.
