Growing Math: Classroom-Ready Resources to teach Math, Agricultural Science and Indigenous Culture for Grades 3-8
Saturday, April 9, 2022 | 10:15-11:45 MDT | Ocotillo II
Growing Math is a no-cost (USDA-funded) learning platform that combines educational software, ready-to-implement lesson plans, digital resources, data reporting and professional development aimed at improving math scores through culturally reflective curriculum. Growing Math was developed in direct response to a survey of educator-needs, with Indigenous students and communities in mind and with Indigenous educators involved in the process. This session will introduce attendees to Growing Math, explore how to use the resources and provide best practices for integrating into your classroom.
Educators who participate in Growing Math training (this session) and use its resources for 2 hours of classroom time with their own students receive a $150 stipend.
