Why We Do What We Do & Why We’d Love to Have You Join Us

Earlier this week, we told you about how we launched a WeFunder campaign that allows anyone to become an investor in 7 Generation Games for $100 or less. Today, we wanted to tell you why. 

Not why you should invest in us and the work we’re doing (although we would love it if you would – or if you would spread the word to others), but why we do the work we do. 

At 7 Generation Games, the goal every day is to make a difference. 

A difference for teachers. How can we help them better engage their students? How can we provide them data they can actually use? How can we take even just one thing off their plate at end of the day?

A difference for students. How do we put what they’re learning in a real world context? How do we make learning fun? How do we get kids excited about being challenged? How do we remove the fear surrounding failing so they can be better positioned to succeed?

A difference for parents. How can we take the battle out of fighting with your kids over doing their homework? 

A difference for curriculum developers. How do we make it practical and affordable to make content accessible to a wider audience? How do we help harness the potential from the technological revolution in education to get quality content into classrooms? How do we lower the barriers that so often keep smaller companies from being able to provide richer interactive learning experiences?

A difference for game developers. How can we take a process that is expensive, time consuming and requires high levels of technical expertise and streamline it? How can we get off the treadmill of individual educational video game companies all trying to reinvent the wheel, and instead create a conveyor belt that empowers organizations across the industry to create better and more solutions?

We founded 7 Generation Games because we wanted to make a difference. We could not accept the status quo. 

We looked around and thought there has to be a better way. 

A better way to improve how kids are learning. 

A better way to integrate culture in the curriculum. 

A better way to make technology accessible. 

A better way to define what a tech company looks like. 

A better way to develop educational games.  

At 7 Generation Games, we make educational video games and the tools to develop them. 

Because we believe that every child deserves better.
